2024 was the most INCREDIBLE year for our family. We visited a total of 12 different amusement parks, 2 water parks, and visited 12 different states. I will never take for granted the adventures we go on as a family. To think that once upon a time, this all started with Derrick and I meeting –...
So, as I’ve been combing through all of my photos from last year, I realized that I desperately wanted to add a “personal” category to my “favorites” posts. And, well, since this is my space on the internet and I’m the boss here, I decided to go for it! I have the most amazing job on the planet –...
HAPPY FEBRUARY FAVORITES – PART 2/4 Continuing on in my series of “favorite” images from 2024 (if you missed my favorite roller coaster images that dropped on Tuesday, go back and see those HERE) – Since today is Valentine’s Day EVE – I figured what better way to celebrate the LOVE holiday than with my...

Hi! I'm Kara!
Welcome to my blog!
I'm a Pittsburgh-based wedding photographer and wedding content creator with a love for storytelling, both on wedding days and beyond.
I've been part of the wedding industry since 2009, documenting 250+ wedding days and helping couples preserve the moments, big and small, that make their day uniquely theirs.
When I'm not working a wedding, you'll probably find me creating videos for my personal YouTube channel, The Adventuring Abbeys, where my family and I share our love of amusement parks, roller coasters, and travel.
Around here, you'll find wedding inspiration and behind-the-scenes content, family adventures, amusement park visits, travel stories, and a little bit of everyday life.
I'm so glad you're here!
