Abby’s Saturday // 2016 Bloopers

So, I feel like I have to apologize. In Monday’s behind-the-scenes blog post, I claimed it to be my favorite post of the year. How was I supposed to know that it would so quickly take 2nd place to this post?

Because THIS is my favorite post of the year!

As y’all know (or maybe you don’t, that’s okay!) I post a photo every Saturday featuring our Black Lab: Abby. Believe it or not, this coming Saturday will host photo number 129! One hundred and twenty nine Abby’s Saturday photos! That’s so crazy! I wish I could claim that all 129 have been posted weekly for over 2 years, but I did take some time off from my weekly posts when we moved across the state & Braelynn was born.

In 2016, I did post 51 Abby’s Saturday posts (I took one week off). In 2016 I also changed up my formatting to include an update on what is going on in our lives (so if you’re ever curious what we’re up to, that’s the best place to keep up!) It’s really fun to look back at all the little stories & things I wrote about us doing through the last few months – it’s like my little mini journal of our lives.

Needless to say, with 51 weekly photos of Abby this year (and sometimes Braelynn joining in on the fun too) I have some pretty hilarious “bloopers”. Believe it or not, taking these weekly photos is not easy! Coming up with ideas, new places to take the photo, & new props definitely puts my creativity to the test! Then, add in an easily distracted pup & a toddler, and you have a recipe for a challenge!

Like I was saying though: bloopers! Abby & Braelynn definitely make these photos fun & sometimes they get downright silly! You simply never know what is going to happen! These two truly are best friends & it’s so fun to see their friendship growing. It’s so much fun and why I look forward to another year of photos!

So, in going through my images from last year, I found some real gems that I simply had to share! I can’t believe how little my babe was in some of these photos & how crazy my dog got! So, as much as I love looking at the behind-the-scenes of myself working as a wedding photographer, I’m in love with these Abby’s Saturday bloopers!

Braelynn: “What is this cold white stuff? I don’t like it.”

This was when we were taking the same photo – but the next day (hence the different shirt – did I mention that sometimes I get a certain idea in my head & I can’t quit until I get it in my camera? In this case, it took 2 days!)
