2016 Favorites – Weddings

What an amazing, incredible, fulfilling, beautiful year 2016 has been! I took tens of thousands of photos and have gone thru the enormous process of pulling my favorites and compiling them into 3 categories: my favorite portraits, engagement and wedding images! I know I say this all the time, but I simply can’t say it enough – I am overwhelmingly blessed to be able to work with the most amazing people year after year after year and 2016 was no exception!

Ahh wedding days – a day that seemingly takes forever to arrive and then flies by with the speed of a silver bullet. I still marvel at how fast wedding days go. They also never go as planned. I have so many stories to tell about weddings and my 2016 “season” filled my arsenal of stories even fuller! I was also very blessed to be a part of 2 very emotional weddings this season because very shortly after the wedding, a close family member passed away. Those photos from those wedding are the last images ever taken of those family members and that realization alone stops me in my tracks & sends chills down my spine. What a powerful, important, heavy job it is to be a wedding photographer. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

What follows are just a taste (in absolutely no particular order) of my favorite wedding images of the year. It goes without saying that there are a lot of images (more than I’ve EVER posted before) in this post! I’m sorry, but not sorry. Every time I look through these images, I smile as they take me right back to the moment I clicked the shutter. I love that. Photography is so powerful.
