Well – we did it! We officially made it to Easter weekend and all four members of our house were (mostly) healthy!
(I say “mostly” because: Leander actually was getting over an ear infection, Braelynn also has been battling an infection on the back of her ear (near her piercing), I finally was diagnosed with Lyme Disease – so we’re far from “fully healthy”, but everyone was well enough to enjoy the festivities and celebrations!)
(For full context, since 2018, we’ve been sick for 6 of the 8 years)
Needless to say: my heart was very very thankful when everyone woke up Easter morning and there was no hint of the flu or stomach bug or anything else major that would keep us home!
If you’d like to take a trip down memory lane, you can go back & see past Easter posts I’ve written here:

Our Easter celebrations kicked off with a big Easter party at church!

We knew we would be traveling over Easter weekend, so we celebrated Easter at our house a few days early: Easter baskets, a small egg hunt, and special treats!

We took Easter weekend and traveled across the state to visit some extended Abbey family members! We left early Saturday morning and spent 24-very-full-hours with Derrick’s Aunt and Uncle and lots of cousins! The kids had a blast taking rides on the quad, playing in and around the stream, and playing games with everyone.

Then we drove home and celebrated Easter with my side of the family – we did a big egg hunt, dinner, and dessert on Sunday night. (This is the first egg hunt Leander has been able to be a part of at my parent’s house in YEARS, the poor dude always seems to be sick! So, needless to say: he was so excited!)
