They met because her daughter was dating his son. But even as that relationship wasn’t quite working out, her Mom and his Dad’s friendship bloomed. And 10 years later, they celebrated by renewing their vows – in the same place that they originally committed them – in their backyard.
Tammy & Bromo originally wanted to take their whole family to Hawaii to renew their vows on the beach. Fortunately, together they have a large and wonderful family – unfortunately though, it gets quite expensive to take so many people to the Hawaii! So, they came up with the brilliant plan of bringing Hawaii to their backyard – complete with sandcastles, a bar made out of a surfboard, lots of beach chairs, beach towels, palm trees, and SAND!
I have photographed so many different parts of this family – it was so fun to see them altogether in one place – and see how much the kids have grown since I’ve seen then last!!
They planned the site of their ceremony perfectly so that the sun could set behind them – it was beautiful!
Tammy had a special pin on her dress that held charms in memory of her sister who passed away earlier this year.
We topped off the night with lighting 10 lanterns [to celebrate their 10 years of marriage] and sparklers!
Even though they couldn’t take their whole family to Hawaii – they decided what better time to go than after celebrating 10 years of marriage? Tammy & Bromo – it was my honor to be able to photograph your vow renewal luau – I trust that ya’ll are having the absolute best & most relaxing time in Hawaii this week!!
