Some love stories begin with a grand, cinematic, “love-at-first-sight” moment.
But Rhiannon and Jason’s story began much more quietly.
Although they technically met back in 2021, the timing just wasn’t right. They lived in the same town, shared many of the same friends, and had crossed paths more than once. But at the time, they were both in relationships that simply weren’t meant to last.
By the end of 2022, life had brought them back together – and this time, everything was different.
Around the same time their relationship was beginning, Jason was making one of the biggest decisions of his life.
He had built a successful career as an engineer, but deep down, it wasn’t the life he wanted. After a season of re-evaluating where life was taking him, he made a decision that most people would consider incredibly risky: he left engineering behind, enrolled in flight school, became a flight instructor, and eventually earned the job he’d always hoped for as a commercial airline pilot.
It wasn’t just a career change. It was choosing the life he knew he’d regret not pursuing.
Throughout every step of that journey, Rhiannon was right beside him.
She listened to every question, every fear, every plan, and every dream. She became the sounding board for every “what if?” and every next step, never asking him to choose the easier path – only encouraging him to chase the one that would make him happiest.
Watching them together on their wedding day, it’s easy to see that they didn’t just fall in love. They grew into the people they wanted to become together.
These days, they share a love of traveling, exploring new places, and, fittingly, spending plenty of time in airports. Jason’s career has become the perfect match for the adventures they love taking together.

When it came time to propose in 2024, Jason knew exactly what Rhiannon would want: no crowd. No audience. No elaborate production.
Just the two of them at home.
During his proposal, he told her something that perfectly captures their relationship:
There are so many places that remind him of her and tell the story of them – that he could have proposed anywhere. On a mountain. At a favorite destination. In front of a castle. Or simply right there, at home, where their life together was already unfolding.
So that’s exactly what he did.
Because photographs are so important to Rhiannon, they decided afterward to visit many of those meaningful places together and recreate the proposal. They celebrated again on Mt. Washington. Again in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom. Again in places that had shaped their story.
Even though the proposal had already happened, it somehow became even more meaningful.
Without the pressure of the moment, they simply got to relive one of the happiest days of their lives over and over again.
Their wedding beautifully carried that story forward.
The theme was “Love Is in the Air,” and every detail reflected the life they’ve built together. Airplanes. Boarding passes. Airports. Clouds. Travel. Little nods to the journey that brought them here and the adventures still waiting ahead.
Wintergarden at PPG Place in Pittsburgh, PA was the perfect setting for their celebration, and Rhiannon looked every bit the princess in her stunning ball gown. A few raindrops showed up just in time – the kind that somehow make a wedding day feel even more romantic – before they shared their first dance surrounded by clouds.
It was elegant, joyful, deeply personal, and unmistakably them.
And after celebrating with the people they love most, they were off to begin married life the way you’d probably expect: with a little Disney honeymoon, because some love stories are simply happiest with a castle at the end.
Huge shout-out and thank you to the amazing team of vendors, as well as friends & family, who helped make Rhiannon and Jason’s wedding day absolutely perfect!
