It’s my favorite post of the year!
How about a little look behind-the-scenes? You see all the gorgeous images after I’ve taken them, but what does it look like while I’m taking them? Want to see what I wear [obviously I was obsessed with one particular shirt in 2015]? What my hair looks like [insane by the end of a wedding day for sure]? What bag I carry [it’s a Shootsac & I never leave home without it]? What silly faces & weird expressions I make? This is where you want to be then!
So, sit back, grab a handful of week-old Christmas cookies, an ice cold cup of coffee [that’s how I like it!] and get ready to laugh along with me at some behind-the-scenes on 2015!
PS: Almost all of these images were taken by my favorite, one-and-only second-shooter, Ellen, who is also my little sister & bestie. And, credit where credit is due: the selfies were taken by my trusty iPhone!
The first wedding we shot in 2015 was at Seven Springs and it was freezing!
I shot 2 weddings at The Shoresbrook Inn this season, so I took the same photo both times!
“And THIS young man here *pats head* is the next fellow to get married..”
Selfie!
This is my “do not fall off the end of the walkway” dance.
That one time we shot a wedding & barely made it to the reception because – tornado?!
“And now we’ll observe a moment of silence for Bill the bug that we just squashed.”
“It’s the bride & groom!” “No, wait, it’s just the photographer lady.”
Selfie!
Let’s count my double chins, shall we?
Selfies with cute kiddos!
Oh, don’t mind me.
Guarding the food.
Sometimes you need to warm up before you have your photo taken.
And, ick, my tongue is long! HAHA
I call this the Wizard of Oz pose!
I think this is my favorite series of images EVER – good thing Megan & Anwar thought I was funny!
Don’t mind me – I’m just down here – taking photos of them – cutting the cake!
I thought it’d be cool to eat one of the bugs that were flying around, but apparently it wasn’t very tasty.
Game face.
Sometimes I share secrets with my brides – like how Jackie was telling me that Javier likes to stand on one foot like a flamingo? We’re laughing because he’s doing it! [just kidding, I totally made that up!]
The world needs more fun DJs!
Hold that thought – I’m going to sneeze.
Hiding in the bush.
Discreetly taking a picture of the bottom of my shoe.
That day that I showed up wearing the same outfit as my senior.
Kidding – that’s my family’s lake house & we were taking a large family photo & the colors were gold & navy. And since we were all looking mighty fine, we took some portraits [including some senior photos for Emma!]
And I don’t mind climbing up on the roof to get a better angle.
My hair was on-pointe that day.
Geeze – y’all got married just 30 minutes ago & your already comfortable enough to pick her nose? I’m just trying not to laugh.
If you can’t tell – I really liked this shirt – I wore it to a lot of weddings this season! I think that means I need to do a little shopping for some variety in 2016! LOL
“Look over there! Just kidding, look back there!”
You know you really feel comfortable with a family when you allow one of their guests to take your camera & take a picture of you! [LOVED everyone at Kate & Rob’s wedding!]
What? NO – I was not just checking Facebook – you did not see that!
“Did you ever hear that story about the troll who lived under the bridge? You’ll never believe it, but this is that bridge!”
Warming up the dance floor.
SO much fun, right?! If you can’t get enough & what to see more behind-the-scenes – here’s the link to last year’s post & 2013’s post!
I just adore you more reading this post. I already thought you were awesome and now showing how real you are and behind the seen fun things you do is amazing. I wish I lived closer so I could mentor with you and follow you around. Love it!
