Nicole & Andrew’s outdoor summer wedding was this past Saturday at Grovedale Winery in Wylusing, PA. I knew it was going to be fantastic, but I had no idea just how beautiful everything would be! Nicole did such an amazing job of coordinating her colors and her designs with the beautiful property of the Winery. And it all seemed to fit her & Andrew’s personalities just perfectly – bold, bright, & happy!
Nicole had to be the most cool & collected bride. When I arrived, the wind had picked up & was blowing everything they had set up, in the reception, tent over. Vases of flowers had spilled over & the tablecloths were being soaked! Here we were, just a short time before guests began arriving, and the wind was destroying all of their hard work in decorating the reception space! Totally cool about it though, Nicole jumped in to help in tearing down the tables that were wet and rescuing the few centerpieces that had stayed upright. In a time that could have been completely stressful and overwhelming, Nicole rolled up her sleeves & got to work, laughing and joking along the way. Nothing could dim her excitement for her wedding day!
Thankfully, Grovedale has a drier & the tablecloths and linens were able to get a quick drying treatment before going back out onto the tables! The wind died down & the reception was set back up before the guests even knew that just an hour before, everything had been completely torn apart.
The rest of the day went off without a hitch. The ceremony was beautiful & personal, a bit of rain threatened and even shed a few sprinkles but then scurried away, and the evening ended with a bonfire, s’mores, and sparklers!
Nicole & Andrew: thank you so much for being you! I loved every moment of getting to know you guys & being there to capture your big day! I loved your spirit of adventure & how every moment of your day was tackled with a huge smile & overflowing joy. Hope y’all are enjoying every moment of your honeymoon in the Caribbean!!
UGH – Nicole’s bouquet was simply to DIE for! I loved all the color & textures & to top it off: it smelled divine!!
Aren’t these little twin flower girls the cutest?!
Nicole got ready in the funeral home on Grovedale’s property and if no one had told me it was a funeral home, I would never have guessed! It simply looked like an amazing, old vintage house. The rooms were big, filled with lovely antique furniture, and I could have spent all day exploring the house! Nicole’s favorite color is red, so this red chase was simply begging to be used in her photographs!
If you can’t tell – the sweet relationship Nicole has with her Grandma is so so precious!
Nicole & Andrew decided to do an “invisible first look” and exchange love letters! They simply could not have been any cuter! Can’t you just imagine sound along with this image? Both were giggling like little 4 year olds who had just successfully stolen cookies out from under Grandma’s nose & gotten away with it!
On to the ceremony!
This was the sweetest little moment! The flower girls were escorted down the aisle by the Grandmas! How precious is that!
Did I mention that Nicole’s dog also walked down the aisle & took part in the ceremony? I loved how she sat out in the middle of the aisle while Nicole & Andrew were saying their vows – she was so well behaved!
There are so many moments in a wedding day that I love, but the first moments after recessing down the aisle as husband & wife are definitely at the top of my list!
Hey! One KAP Couple greeting another KAP Couple! It was so fun to see Erica & Rob and get to catch up with them!
There were 3 little flower girls and one was particularly shy! She ran and hid when we started to take portraits! (sound familiar?)
Thankfully, her Mama was able to coax her out and she was brave enough to be in one bridal party photo!
Aren’t these just so warm & cozy? We used that blanket in Nicole & Andrew’s engagement photos & it was so fun to use it for some wedding photos as well!
Nicole had only one request: she really wanted to drive up the road & take a few photos on the Wyalusing Bridge. We had a few minutes to spare, but we did it! We may have stopped traffic in both directions, but it was SO worth it!
Then it was on to the reception!
Nicole handmade all of the strawberry jam given as favors! 150+ jars home-made & canned herself.
This post is already overly long with photos (I’m sorry, I simply can’t help myself!), but I love good cake cuttings! I knew Nicole & Andrew’s would be especially epic & I was completely right!
We ended the evening with sparklers!
Huge shout-out and thank you to the amazing team of vendors who helped make Nicole & Andrew’s wedding day absolutely perfect!
