Casey’s best friend Sarah was getting married and she couldn’t have been happier for her. Weddings have a way of making everyone happy & excited & looking forward to the future. Casey & Sarah had been best friends for years and years and after being snowed in at Sarah’s fiance Eric’s family’s house one snowy night in January, Casey had gotten to know & love his family as well. She loved being a part of Sarah & Eric’s wedding day and loved seeing them so happy.
At the wedding, with love in the air, a few friends pushed Casey to dance and chat with another handsome wedding guest. She did, but just had the feeling that it wasn’t right. In the days after the wedding, the more they talked, the more she knew that he truly wasn’t the one. That’s when the wedding guest suggested Casey go out with someone else: Nick – Eric’s brother.
Nick was super straight-forward & honest with Casey. He wasn’t looking to date just anyone. He wanted a long-term relationship that would turn into marriage. He had goals and dreams and plans for his life and Casey was intrigued. Nick wasn’t like any other guy & she was curious. Chatting online turned into talking on the phone which turned into going out on dates.
Of course, the rest is history! After close to a year of dating, Casey meshed her goals and dreams and plans with Nick’s and the countdown is on to their wedding! I’ve known Casey for a long time and it has been amazing to watch her absolutely glow & grow in her relationship with Nick. He loves her so much & she is like a sunflower that is blossoming under his love and attention – their relationship is so precious! I cannot wait for their wedding next summer: I’m going to cry like a baby & it’s going to be the best!
One of Casey & Nick’s favorite things is to go hiking together & they love waterfalls! I told them I’d take them to a waterfall they’d never been to before & I was so excited to go back to the Sweedler Nature Preserve (where Megan & Marty took me for their engagement photos!) The only problem was that it had been super dry in the weeks leading up to their engagement session and the waterfall was completely dry!
Aren’t they adorable?!
FAVORITE.
