They both dormed in the same building at college.
One day, they both happened to be in the same common area – at the same time. A conversation was struck up & a tiny spark ignited. Marty was smitten with Megan – her red hair, spunky personality, and contagious smile captivated him. He knew this girl was special and he simply could not stop thinking about her.
At some point during their initial conversation, they both realized that they had the same cell phone. Coincidence? Definitely not. And Marty used that small piece of information to his advantage. A day or two later, he showed up at Megan’s room with a cover story – he had lost his cell phone charger and since she had the same phone – maybe he could borrow her’s?
A few days later, he was back at her door again, could he borrow her charger just one more time?
And again, he was knocking on her door, smiling from ear to ear, innocently having “lost” his charger.
Megan couldn’t help but end up smitten with the quirky Irishman who kept peddling his sad tale of the lost charger. And soon, Marty didn’t need his cover story as an excuse to hang out with Megan. Their friendship had ignited & there was no dousing the flame.
Megan & Marty win the award for smiliest couple ever! I don’t think they ever stop smiling! They smiled and laughed the whole time we originally met to talk about their wedding & through the entire engagement session [including while I was lost & Megan was giving me directions to get to the Sweedler Nature Preserve – I could hear it in her voice!] I left singing the praises of happy-in-love-people & I absolutely cannot wait for their Irish wedding next summer!!
Oh, and we simply cannot forget Yankee! Their adorable black lab mix, who I think is secretly related to Abby!
These photos are absolutely gorgeous. I love the location and the scenery. The sunlight is absolutely perfect. Amazing job!
[…] never been to before & I was so excited to go back to the Sweedler Nature Preserve (where Megan & Marty took me for their engagement photos!) The only problem was that it had been super dry in the weeks […]
