Not many brides and grooms get the opportunity to do it all twice.
After exchanging vows during an intimate beach ceremony in North Carolina surrounded by their closest family, Maddy and Ben returned home to Pennsylvania to celebrate their marriage with the people who couldn’t be there.
For Maddy, that meant getting dressed up for a second time – a second wedding dress, a second round of hair and makeup, and another chance to carry a stunning fresh bouquet. Before the celebration began, we spent time capturing family photographs with both immediate and extended family, preserving memories with the people who had gathered to celebrate this new chapter alongside them.
From there, the evening unfolded naturally. Maddy and Ben were able to join their own cocktail hour, soaking in time with their guests before making a grand entrance, sharing their first dance, listening to heartfelt toasts from close friends, and cutting their cake (Ben’s personal favorite moment of the evening – I’ve never met a groom who took the time to cut himself a second slice of cake, just so he could enjoy it!)
There was no rush, no pressure, and no packed wedding-day timeline to navigate. Instead, the entire evening was devoted to being present with the people who matter most. It was a beautiful reminder that while weddings look different for every couple, the best celebrations are often the ones that simply create space for connection, laughter, and time spent together.
