I believe I knew this new little guy’s name before some of his more important family members did. Is there an award for that?
Story: my bestie from work, Val – you’ll probably remember her, I’ve done lots of photos for her & her most adorable lil family [if you can’t remember, you can get refreshed here – and definitely do because Val’s lil boy Landon? He will steal your heart!] – well, her sister finds out that she’s pregnant with baby number 2 & a few months in it’s decision time for a name, right? They were back and forth, back and forth between two names for the lil dude and when they finally decided on one, they “introduced” the new lil babe-to-be to his big sister and recorded her saying his name. Val comes flying into work that next morning with a recording: “GUYS! You have to listen to Gabrielle saying her little brother’s name!! It’s SOO cute!” And she played it over and over for us as we all giggled in delight over how completely adorable it was to hear this 18-month old lil girl saying “Tre-vor! Tre-vor! Tre-vor!”

Smitten. Completely smitten.

So, you can guess my crazy excitement when Val’s sister contacted me about doing some newborn photos – and actually getting to meet this adorable little family in person? YES PLEASE. I don’t photograph babies or kiddos all that often – I typically hang around big people who are getting married – but every once in a while it is a delightful treat to photograph a little person or two!

I was warned that Ms. Gabrielle isn’t the largest fan of having her photo taken – I promised though that once we took a few photos of baby brother, that she would more than likely get jealous & jump right in & that is exactly what happened!!

Which then was the perfect segway into doing some photos of Ms. Gabrielle by herself!

And then it was back to the little man of the hour!
