Christmas time was so busy for me last year – I’m literally just feeling recovered from it & it’s the last week of February! It was so much fun though – I met & photographed so many awesome families & kids! I was so busy that unfortunately, I did have to turn some folks away. It’s heartbreaking to know that I simply could not squeeze one more family into my schedule [and this would be where I insert my shameless plug to make sure you get your family photos done earlier this year! If you sign up for my email newsletter – I’ll send you out a reminder – I promise!].
This was the very last sessions I did – it was the week before Christmas – so you can understand why it got “lost” – but I so LOVE these photos!! Being the week before Christmas – we had about 6 inches of snow on the ground and it was freezing! Instead of venturing out to a Christmas tree farm and freezing our butts off, we contacted the Keystone Theater in Towanda & they were so gracious to let us in for a short period of time before their shows started for the day!
The red curtain made the perfect backdrop for dramatic photos and we had so much fun traipsing around and enjoying all of the old, classic theater charm that the building has.
Eleana is going to be a super-star one day – I promise. We literally had to pry her off of the stage when it came time to leave – she so badly wants to be in front of people – to sing & dance & perform. Hopefully someday when she’s rich & famous she’ll remember that Kara Abbey girl who took photos of her & her family every year & I’ll get to see her in concert or something!
Such a cool location for a session. I love things that are out of the box like this!
What a sweetheart! You can tell she was having so much fun!
