Everybody needs a good headshot. Business owners, Grandmas, little kiddos – everyone should have at least one amazing (and updated) portrait of themselves! We all agree, good, I’m glad we’re on the same page. The challenging part is conquering that portrait! It takes effort to find a photographer, to pick out what you’ll wear, to do your hair & makeup – just setting the time aside to do it can be stressful! Not even counting the fact that most people dread being in front of the camera!
That’s why: I was so excited when my friend Becca asked me to take a few updated headshots for her. Her job was updating everyone’s photos on their website & asked all of their employees for a current headshot. What she would have normally sent over couldn’t exactly qualify as “current” though – which is why she asked for my help!
I love this girl! We go to the same church & sit next to each other at the bi-weekly Mom’s group we attend. She’s funny & sarcastic & authentic & so so sweet. She literally makes my day. She isn’t a huge smiler though – so you can imagine my surprise when I got her in front of my camera & these are how her headshots turned out! Doesn’t she look amazing?! Becca, you should definitely smile more often!
What’s really fun: I had just bought an umbrella for my OCF (off-camera-flash) to help with family portraits in dark churches, so I was itching to try it out! Becca was the perfect guinea pig! I am literally thrilled with how her headshots turned out! And officially in love with my new umbrella! I can’t wait to try it out at a wedding!
Just as a little comparison: below on the left is Becca’s old headshot and on the right is one of the new ones that I took – what a difference!
