I met Ashley at the beginning of this year. She was a quiet and hard-working girl, with a crazy sweet tooth [trust me, if it’s sugary, you should hide it, because it will disappear if Ashley knows it’s around]. She had a boyfriend that she would talk about and begin to glow whenever she mentioned his name. He obviously was something special and just a few weeks ago, a question was popped on Mount Washington in Pittsburgh on a trip to visit her family. Somehow, Jim managed to harness Ashley’s glow and put it in a ring around her finger and now she simply glows all the time.
When Ashley told me that she and Jim wanted to have their engagement photos taken in her Dad’s back yard I was a little bit skeptical. What does Dad’s back yard look like? If it’s anything like my back yard, it’s overgrown, unkempt, has lots of potential, but needs a lot of work [yes, that’s a plea for someone to help me!]
Of course, I had faith – I’m all about doing engagement photography in a location that means something to the couple & if Ashley’s first thought was her Dad’s back yard, I was up for it. I was not however, prepared for what I saw. Her Dad’s whole house, as well as the back yard, deserves to be photographed every single day and published in a magazine! It was a dream come true!
Beautiful! I love the last image SO much!
