Happy New Year!! So crazy to realize the holidays are over – December is gone – it is now 2014!! Honestly: somehow I missed the whole month of December! Can we hit the rewind button & go back??
D&K adventures: We went to see Saving Mr. Banks last night – and I’ll admit it – I cried. It is a movie about Walt Disney & the woman who wrote Mary Poppins into existence. I simply couldn’t take it when Walt Disney took her to Disneyland, I was so overwhelmed – I literally felt like I was walking into the park with them. I say it all the time: working at Disney World ruined me for life & I will simply never be the same. It was a fabulous, touching, emotional film that was so refreshing & different from the action movies we usually end up seeing.
Abby’s antics: It has been ridiculously cold here the last few days! We got about 9 inches of snow & then the temperatures dropped down below 0. ZERO. Abby loves the snow but can’t take this cold – we would let her out to do her business and then she’d instantly come prancing back up to the door, dancing around for the few seconds it took for us to open it up and let her back in – freezing paws!! We teased that she needs little doggie booties! Do they make such a thing??
Radiating thankfulness: I rang in the new year by photographing super fun wedding [come back tomorrow for that blog post!] & that meant that Derrick ran in the new year with Abby at home. He promised that he gave her a big smooch at the stroke of midnight! That wedding officially marks the end of my super crazy busy last few months and now we enter into “off-season”! WOOHOO! That means less photograph-ing and more meeting with brides + grooms about their weddings this year, more time to revamp & update my website, time to set new goals for 2014 and also time to relax, recharge, and get geared up for the amazing year 2014 is going to be!! I’m totally pumped!!
Kara, yes they do make “doggie booties”! I seen them at PetSmart, and they are even rubber-soled Thinsulate brand!
Be aware! They run about $35!
yes they make booties, my doggie snuffy had a raincoat, hat, and rain booties
