Highlight of the Week
We have officially moved Braelynn into a big girl bed! We weren’t having any problems with her crib, she was sleeping in it just fine (well, sort of) – what I mean is: she wasn’t climbing out of the crib or anything. She still is perfecting sleeping thru the night though, so we thought maybe switching up her bed would make it more exciting & give her more incentive to be a “big girl” and to sleep all night long. So far, so good! She’s slept in her new big girl bed all the way until Daddy leaves for work in the morning – so that’s a huge improvement!
Training Braelynn to sleep by herself in her own bed will be super helpful this summer too as we travel, so changing out the crib for the toddler bed has a dual purpose! Fingers crossed!
Yes, This Happened
- Ellen & I photographed our first wedding of the year last Saturday! It was super elegant & beautiful, but also rainy & cold! It’s amazing to me how I used to panic whenever I saw rain in the forecast on a wedding day & now it’s just one more challenge to work around. We utilized my big white umbrellas & everything was just perfect!
- Braelynn’s going to the potty seems to finally be getting back on track! It’s only taken 2 weeks post-vacation to do so! (when we were in Texas, she wore pull-ups the whole time & got a little lazy, so when we came home & put panties back on, she really struggled with getting back into the timing of things!)
- We seem to have ants all over our house all of a sudden! They seem to have no rhyme or reason, it isn’t like they’re all in the kitchen looking for food: they’re in my office, in the living room, and the kitchen. Do you have any tried-and-true dog-safe, kid-safe ideas to help get rid of them?
Feeling Blessed
It’s Mother’s Day weekend, so I’ve been thinking a lot about how thankful & blessed I am to not only have the best Mom ever, but 2 incredible Grandmas, a wonderful mother-in-law, and 2 lovely Grandma “in-laws”! I am so blessed to have all of these stunning, amazing, Godly women in my life, and I am so grateful that Braelynn is also growing up getting to know these fabulous women! But I am especially thankful for my own Mom. She is one of my best friends & I cannot wait to spend a couple of extra days at the lake house this week with her!
