We spent a BEAUTIFUL fall day at Hersheypark for Dark Nights, and we packed A LOT into one day! From riding most of Hersheypark’s roller coasters to trick-or-treating in Treatville, this was our kind of Halloween – costumes, coasters, candy, and absolutely no haunted houses or scare actors.
We started our day at Hershey’s Chocolate World before heading into Hersheypark, where we rode as many coasters as we could, including Twizzlers Twisted Gravity, Hershey’s newest thrill ride that was closed the last time we visited! We also spent some time exploring the park, sampling Hershey’s Halloween-inspired food, and enjoying all the fall decorations.
The kids put on their Halloween costumes and went trick-or-treating in Treatville, which was definitely one of the highlights of the day. (I mean, what better park is there to trick-or-treat at than a park CENTERED around candy?!) And because we don’t do Halloween haunt events, we enjoyed Dark Nights during the family-friendly part of the day and headed out before the scare actors came out and haunted houses opened up.
If you’re planning a fall visit to Hersheypark, looking for family-friendly things to do during Dark Nights, or just love roller coasters and amusement parks, come spend the day at Hersheypark with us!
And because: what’s a blog post without photos? Here are just a few (these are just iPhone snaps, the concentration for the day was having fun as a family – so I left my big camera at home.)
