As last summer began to wind down, we looked at our calendar & realized that we had one last chance for one last roller coaster riding trip. Due to 2020 being such an upside down year in regards to the wedding industry, I had a slow/non-existent spring & summer wedding season, and a packed to the gills fall wedding season. And with so many amusement parks closing early, we planned one last trip to squeeze in as many roller coaster rides as we could.
So, for one last hurrah of the year – we headed off to Ohio. First we went to Cedar Point, followed by a day and a half at Kings Island. We kept hinting to Braelynn that there was more to our trip, but she had no clue what we meant.
Braelynn is at the perfect age for surprises right now. She is old enough to experience anticipation & to know something exciting is coming, but not quite old enough to trace some (obvious) dots & figure it out on her own yet. This one was a really tough secret to keep though – mostly because we were just bursting with the surprise ourselves!
Somehow, we managed to keep it a 100% complete surprise & Braelynn’s reaction to pulling onto the property of Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio is my FAVORITE THING EVER. After our first visit to the Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono’s earlier in the year – she was beyond herself to arrive at another Great Wolf Lodge.
Words simply cannot express how thankful I am to have her reaction saved on video. It is 100% unscripted & unprompted and it is simply my favorite thing ever (and to think, if I hadn’t actively started vlogging last summer, I most likely would have missed recording this moment).
We loved our stay! The waterpark wasn’t super busy & the kids had a BLAST. It was the perfect way to end our last roller coaster riding trip of 2020.
Enjoy a little peek into our stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio!
