If you’ve been reading along with the most recent engagement & wedding blogs I’ve written – nine times out of ten they all begin the same way: and Tiffany & Steve are no exception.
Tiffany & Steve met 2 years ago on a dating app.
As they started texting back & forth, they were simply blown away by how much they had in common: they both loved the same things, enjoyed the same hobbies, and were on the exact same page as far as looking for a relationship. It seems that the “dating app algorithm gods” did it yet again & created a perfect match.
Their relationship only grew stronger thru the pandemic of 2020 as they spent more time together than ever before (quarantine life will do that for you!) Families fused together, in October, they bought their dream house – and with that, there was just one piece of the puzzle missing.
As Valentine’s Day weekend of 2021 approached, Steve began to put his proposal plans into motion. He created a scavenger hunt for Tiffany all within the walls of their dream house. He put so much thought & effort into this hunt that the clues even all rhymed!
Since it was Valentine’s Day, the clues simply did not lead to more clues – but there were gifts along the way: chocolates, flowers, a MyLittlePony toy (which is an inside joke).
Tiffany could sense that she was getting near the end of the hunt when she read her next clue which ended in a “…” The word that obviously should have been there (but wasn’t) was “ring” – so, excitedly, she set off to find (what she was assuming to be) an engagement ring.
She walked into their bedroom & there on the bed was a large, long box. Slightly confused, she opened the box to find – a Ring doorbell.
Not exactly sure how to respond (laugh? punch Steve? despair?), Tiffany found one last clue in the box that directed her to turn around. And there was Steve, down on one knee, with a REAL ring.
This past Saturday was the big day. And what a beautiful, perfect day it was. All day long, I was struck by how easy-going & solid Tiffany & Steve’s love for one another was. And their friends & family who came out to celebrate with them obviously adored them as well.
Tiffany & Steve – thank you SO much for allowing me to celebrate your wedding day! We could not have asked for a better day to create your dream family, with your dream house, & have your dream wedding. I hope you’re having the most amazing, relaxing honeymoon in Jamaica!!
Let’s just say: it was super easy to pick out which house was Tiffany & Steve’s – they were the ones with the HUGE “Just Married” sign in their yard!! Isn’t that so fun?!
Tiffany & Steve included their kids in their wedding ceremony – which I always think is so sweet! They made promises to each of the kids, presented them with gifts, and then did a sand ceremony with 5 different types of sand.
We found these 5 stones at White Oak Park & I teased that I had obviously strategically placed them their the day before (I didn’t really).
Huge shout-out and thank you to the amazing team of vendors, as well as friends & family, who helped make Tiffany & Steve’s wedding day absolutely perfect!
