You guys! I am so excited to officially introduce one of my best & sweetest friends, who I talk about ALL the time, to you all! Now you’ll be able to put a face to the name “Tiffany” & know who I’m talking about when I mention her!
Tiffany & I were simply destined to be friends. I first started hearing about her from my BFF Naomi, who talked about this adorable girl who was just so sweet, was always bubbly and had crazy curly hair. I think we even “met” in passing at one point – but it wasn’t until a few weeks later when we found ourselves in the same Photoshop class at Westmoreland County Community College that we actually connected. We became fast friends: pulled together by a love of photography, a sense of adventure with our newfound Photoshop skills, and private jokes about our professors in class. I hung out at her house multiple times, we’d grab lunch together in the cafeteria, and around Christmas time, I’d show up to help her bake about a trillion sugar cookies (no joke).
Derrick & I got married in 2010 and 2 years later, Tiffany & Aaron tied the knot. I’ll never forget meeting Aaron – it was at one of Tiffany’s many themed parties. He was just “her friend” Aaron. It was pretty obvious to everyone though that he very intentionally had his sights set on being more than just “a friend”. We all teased her about it and lo & behold, we were all right.
Tiffany & Aaron are hardcore entrepreneurs (in the absolute best way). Tiffany runs not only one, but two businesses: Jackson Signature Photography & Joy Filled Occasions. Aaron runs his own construction company (Jackson Renovations) during the week, and on the weekends is Tiffany’s right-hand-man at weddings. They are such a dynamic duo! Seriously, when I think about husband-and-wife teams who are going to take over the world – Aaron & Tiffany are at the top of my list.
Nine days ago, they jumped onto the path of a whole new adventure together! After a crazy long 30+ hour labor, they welcomed their first little princess into the world. Miss Caroline Rose is already just like her Mama: right on time (Tiffany’s water broke on her due date, who does that?!), absolutely gorgeous, and already showcasing a mind of her own. Needless to say: Aaron is going to have his hands full!
I rode up to Johnstown last Wednesday to do some “Fresh 48” photos for them at the hospital! I’ve never done anything like it before & it was so much fun (mostly because I got to meet Caroline & snuggle her). A Fresh 48 session is done within the first 48 hours of a baby’s life, they are traditionally done at the hospital, and they are not newborn photos. They are meant to showcase the new bonds forming between the little family & are totally laid back. Being photographers themselves, Aaron & Tiffany were completely natural in front of the camera – I loved being able to give them a little direction, but then stand back & be a “fly on the wall” to simply capture this sweet new family of three!
Congratulations Aaron & Tiffany on the arrival of Miss Caroline Rose! She is 100% perfect & you both are going to absolutely crush this parenting thing! I’m so excited that we can now be “Mama friends” together!!
