When everyone lives within 10 minutes of each other, things like organized family photos can easily get pushed on to “later”. Sure, everyone loves the thought of professional family photos, but actually buckling down & setting a date, hiring a photographer, picking out coordinating outfits, making sure kids are fed and happy – it can be fairly overwhelming. And more often than not, “later” just keeps getting pushed further and further into the future.
Then something happens to catapult everyone into action. In the Rohrbaugh’s case: it’s a massive move. Suddenly, 10 minutes of distance will become 16 hours. Family get-togethers that once were so easy, will now how to be carefully planned (and never long enough) events and smart phones will be so much more cherished because they’ll allow FaceTime and photos to be sent instantaneously. I know the feeling of moving away from a close-knit family all to well and understand how challenging and heart-breaking the distance can be.
So, when an extended weekend vacation was scheduled right before the big move, it seemed the right time to jump on it and get those family photos done! And I am so glad they did – I had a fabulous time meeting and getting to know this precious family and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful morning in a more scenic location! Ohiopyle State Park is amazing, so relaxing and fun, and I was so excited to be there for a small portion of their trip to celebrate this family!
Aren’t all of these little munchkins so adorable? Four under three! And they were all so good!

If you can look at this picture & not want to pinch those chubby arms & legs, you should get an award! So precious!
