Meet Cash [and Cash’s Mom & Dad].
Cash is 100% all-american BOY. Complete with stick in hand, rocks in his pocket, dirt on his face, and scratched up nose.
I arrived at the park to meet up with the Raffin’s & Cash’s Mama so lovingly told me the story about how as they were getting into the car to come to their long-awaited photoshoot [seriously, we’ve been working on getting this scheduled since Christmas!]. So, getting into the car & Cash face-plants the pavement. Pow. Tough little boy style.
I’m sure as any Mama would, Cash’s Mama’s heart turned to mush for 2 reasons:
A. her precious little boy had scratched up his nose and forehead and
B. did I mention they were on their way to their long-awaited photoshoot?
Thankfully – there is such a thing as Photoshop & I was able to fix up the little guy’s face. We laughed about it and joked that one day she’d look back at the photos having forgotten all about the trauma that ensued on the way to their photoshoot – and for that reason, I snuck in one “un-fixed” photo, so one day when Cash is all grown up and probably a doctor or lawyer, she’d still remember the way her dirty & scratched up little boy was.
See? Told you I snuck one in for her! I just love it – it’s the very definition of little boy.
Is this not the very definition of parenthood? I wanted to take a picture of Mary & Karl by themselves [I always try to get at least one photo of Mom & Dad by themselves while doing family photoshoots] & look who snuck into our picture? I love it!
Don’t worry, we got one without Cash too!
