Since summer is officially over, I guess it’s time to go back over the bucket list I wrote at the beginning of summer! I must admit, it was really nice to have this list in the back of my head! It gave me that extra kick in the pants I needed to do some of these things! And I’m really glad I did! Looking back, we had a fabulous summer & did a lot! So much traveling and adventuring and so many fun things!
Here’s a look back at what I wanted to do & what we actually completed! I’d say 12 out of 20 things completed is pretty good! And 2 of those remaining 8 tasks did get started, just not finished yet! And one was completed, just by a different name (we went to Kings Dominion instead of Kings Island) So, I feel really good about our summer!
- Take Braelynn to the zoo – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
- Take Braelynn to Phipps Conservatory
- Spend a week at Deep Creek Lake – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
- Write Derrick & I’s love story
- Go to Cedar Point with Derrick – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
- Go to Kings Island with Derrick (although we didn’t make it to Kings Island, we did make it to Kings Dominion! I blogged about that trip here!)
- Have a (legit) picnic
- Take Braelynn to Round Hill Park – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
- Spend some time taking photos for enjoyment (not as part of a job) – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
- Attend an Irwin Art & Jazz night – COMPLETED
- Find a nice outdoor table & eat outside as often as possible – COMPLETED
- Go swimming with Braelynn at the lake – COMPLETED
- Vacation for a week with my family in Tennessee – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
- Help Derrick get his XScreamThrills website & podcast up and running
- Print the 1,221 photos from Braelynn’s first year of life (seriously, I’ve already picked them out, they just need printed!) – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
- Scrapbook those 1,221 photos (!!) – (started this project, but it’s still ongoing! it’s a lot of photos!)
- Read at least 5 new books this summer (would never have been a goal in the past, but with a little person, it’s totally making it on the bucket list) – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
- Finish decorating the upstairs (hanging mirrors and pictures in the bedrooms) – another project started, but not completely finished!
- Replace the windows in our house
- Sew curtains for the front window – COMPLETED (blogged about it here!)
I’d really like to write a list like this for fall – so I have a point of reference for what I’d like to do & accomplish! Coming soon!
