Silver Dollar City has been at the top of our “amusement park bucket list” for a LONG time.
It sits at just shy of a 15-hour drive away from us – so it isn’t a park we can just visit over a quick (or even long) weekend-trip.
We really wanted to get there to check it out this summer though, so we made the plans AND DID IT. We loved our time at Silver Dollar City, but one of the most surprising things about our time in Branson, MO was how much we LOVED our time at Silver Dollar City’s waterpark: White Water.
This park sits right in the heart of Branson’s “strip” (contrasted to how “out in the middle of nowhere” Silver Dollar City is located!), so we really weren’t sure what to expect. Boy, were we surprised by how much we loved it!
The waterpark isn’t huge, but it has a great selection of body slides, tube slides, a family raft ride, plus a huge wave pool, long lazy river, and two huge kids’ splash pads.
There was a great selection of food options (ranging from BBQ, to Mexican, to traditional “amusement park” food).
The waterpark was well-kept and clean.
And even though you can see the highway from certain sections of the park, they do an AMAZING job at making you feel like you’ve left the Branson Strip and entered another “world”.
The kids’ splash pads at White Water are easily the BEST we’ve ever experienced! They have an INCREDIBLE splash area for smaller kids (ideal for 48″ and under) – it’s BIG and has a great variety of small-to-medium slides. It only had one small bucket that would dump water (no huge tankers that spill water on unsuspecting little ones!) and no waterfalls or fountains little ones have to make their way through in order to enjoy the splash area. If your little people are like mine – we REALLY appreciated this!
From there, they have a great “next-step” splash pad area – complete with that huge tanker of water that dumps every few minutes! It was a giant complex though and warming up in the smaller area, our kids LOVED this section of the park!
The lifeguards were friendly, watchful, and present-without-being-present (we’ve definitely been to waterparks with overbearing lifeguards that suck the fun out of everything). We LOVED our time at White Water and will 100% go back the next time we visit Silver Dollar City!
*Even though my phone is technically “water resistant”, whenever we’re in the water, I stick my phone in one of these waterproof cases. It just gives me peace of mind that some little kid isn’t going to bump into me & cause my phone to take a dive! https://amzn.to/3NKZJNO
