A rustic, garden, summer wedding at Green Gables in Jennerstown, PA.
This wedding was super special for my family for so many reasons: 1. we have known Jeannie & her family for years as we used to go to church together and 2. we currently go to church with Sean’s family and 3. Sean is Nathan’s older brother (Nathan is my sister Amy’s boyfriend, you’ll see more of their cuteness below)
So, weddings are special no matter who is getting married. However, when you put two extremely special people & their families together who we (as the photographers) actually have friendships and memories and connections with, it suddenly becomes so much more special.
And then, as if this wedding wasn’t beautiful & emotional enough, it meant so much more to know some of the stories & history behind the day. Jeannie lost her Mom a few years ago and.. cue all the tears. Her Mom was the most lovely woman who I clearly remember always loving her family & helping in any way she could. I cried so many times during the day, and couldn’t even put this post together without tearing up again. Everything was just so beautiful and Jeannie’s Mom was so deeply missed.
Jeannie & Sean’s wedding took us back to Green Gables! The last time we were there, we were photographing Shane & Holly’s wedding! So, it was a lot of fun to go back & photograph another wedding on the fabulous property there in Jennerstown, PA! It is such a unique & lovely location, I would love to go back & photograph another wedding there!
This wedding was photographed under Lasting Memories Photography by Ellen, during which I played the role of second-shooter.
Since I was playing the role of second-shooter, that meant that I got to hang out with Sean all morning!
Three generations of Pace men!
Green Gables is so gorgeous!!
Here comes the lovely bride! Jeannie – you were glowing!
These last minutes of anticipation & emotion before walking down the aisle are some of my favorite at every wedding!
They did it! Husband & wife!
Isn’t Jeannie’s bouquet incredible? It was so gorgeous!
Since I was Ellen’s second-shooter, I got to hang out with the guys – they cleaned up pretty nice I’d say!
Brotherly love.
The handsome groom.
On to the reception! I loved the pops of color & the fresh flowers on every table – so beautiful!
Instead of a traditional guestbook, Sean & Jeannie had their guests type out messages on this vintage typewriter – how cool is that?
Omigosh you guys, these gourmet cupcakes were to die for! Literally some of the best I’ve ever tasted!
Remember how I mentioned Sean’s younger brother is my sister Amy’s boyfriend? Here are those two cuties!
So, while everyone was dancing, my Dad went over to hassle Amy & Nathan about how close they were standing together. Then, Nathan’s Dad came running over to further help “separate” the two of them. Someone ended up grabbing a chair & putting it in between them to help them not dance “too close”. Hilarious!
Okay, okay, is it just me? Or is there always a couple at every wedding who are these incredible dancers? Like, these guys were obviously insanely talented & I seriously could have just watched them dance all night long. How do you learn to dance like this?!
And, I’ll end with a brotherly dance-off because it was super epic!
