Last spring, when we went to Florida for the week, the highlight of our vacation was our time at Sea World (I mean, there were a LOT of highlights, but we really really had a wonderful time at Sea World – so much so that we rearranged our trip so that it would be how we spent our last day.)
Well this year – we decided to BEGIN our vacation in Florida with a visit to Sea World Orlando!
Ice Breaker FINALLY opened this spring, so we had to go check it out! It was a fun ride, but has pesky “comfort collar” restraints that ended up giving me a nasty bruise on my arm (so much for the “comfort” part). Ice Breaker was originally supposed to be a “family roller coaster”, but unfortunately, due to the style of restraints, it landed itself a 54″ height requirement – which means Braelynn was not able to ride it.
We had such a wonderful day at Sea World though – you just can’t NOT have fun at this park! We got to see the dolphin show (which was closed last year), and re-watched the Orca show. Braelynn REALLY wanted to sit in the “splash zone”, so Derrick and the kids sat WAY down front (and then when someone moved, they ended up in the very front row). I sat WAY up in the back, with all of our camera gear and in the hopes that I would be able to record them getting soaked. The results still bring tears of laughter to my eyes – Derrick and the kids got absolutely BLASTED with water – it was hilarious!! That is definitely an experience none of us will ever forget!
Sea World Orlando is a beautiful park and we highly recommend visiting if you’re ever in the area!
Of course, what is a post without photos? Here are a few of the highlights of our day both from my iPhone 12 Pro and “big” camera (I have a Canon R6).
KEEP GOING!
