After receiving countless messages via her Match.com profile, Lisa decided that she simply couldn’t take it any longer. She just didn’t have the time or the heart to filter thru the masses of canned messages she received. Where she was hoping to find a few genuine connections, that might maybe lead to a serious relationship, she was simply bombarded by fake accounts, spamming their way into her inbox. And she’d had enough.
She had made the decision to close down her account, when a different kind of message slipped into her inbox. This one stuck out to her – in a sea of pre-written, copy-and-paste messages, this one was different. It was genuine. It was honest. And it was thoughtful. Intrigued, Lisa dug around this new guy’s profile: he seemed so different from everyone else she had received messages from! She responded to his message & just 4 days later (on December 1st), they agreed to meet in person for their first date.
Fast forward in time (obviously, that first date went well) – and Rob & Lisa decided it was time to move forward in combining their lives together. They decided to build a new house to hold their united family of 6 & in January they closed on that project. Keys in hand, Rob & Lisa walked into their freshly completed brand new home. Lisa was surprised to find a bottle of champagne & roses waiting for her as they walked in. She was so excited to begin setting up her new home, that she didn’t even notice Rob, somewhat flustered, looking around their empty house for something. He was opening drawers, looking in cabinets, and obviously not finding whatever he was seeking.
Completely oblivious to Rob, Lisa set out to explore & visualize her new house. That’s when the doorbell rang. Confused, she came downstairs to find Rob talking to their Project Manager who was acting so strange – Rob turned to Lisa & said that he needed to step outside for a moment & he’d be right back. Still completely unaware that anything was amiss, Lisa continued reveling in her new house.
A few moments later, Rob returned, making some excuse about their Project Manager wanting to see how their closing had gone, when suddenly he stopped & handed Lisa a small box. Confused but curious, she opened it to find a stunning engagement ring. Wide-eyed, she looked from the ring, up to Rob, who smiled and asked her to marry him. It turns out – their Project Manager was supposed to leave the engagement ring with the champagne & roses, but hadn’t made it over to the house in time. You can probably guess what Lisa’s answer was.
On Sunday, December 1st, the 2-year anniversary of their first date, Lisa & Rob officially united their hearts & their families as one. In a sweet, intimate, self-uniting ceremony, they pledged their lives to one another. There was a precious level of joy in the room as their friends & family celebrated, but my absolute favorite part was watching their sweet kids. Rob & Lisa each have 2 children & I have never seen 4 kids happier. Happy tears flowed, hearts swelled, and their love was tangibly felt throughout the room.
Lisa & Rob: we might have only been together for a very short period of time, but I enjoyed every moment! I sincerely loved watching your sweet family interact & love each other – you both are so incredibly blessed! I wish you all the best as you continue to blend your new family together & start down this path as husband & wife!
In order to spend as much time as possible with their guests, Lisa & Rob chose to do a First Look & see each other prior to their ceremony!
See those dark & stormy rain clouds? We dodged their raindrops all day long! We would run for cover as it rained, then run back out when we noticed it letting up – it definitely made for adventurous photos!
Obviously Lisa & Rob’s kids mean the entire world to them – so we took a lot of photos celebrating their new family of 6!
Portraits finished, it was on to The Event Center at Waterworks in Greensburg for their ceremony & dinner!
I won’t lie: these moments immediately following Lisa & Rob’s ceremony with their family are some of my absolute favorites!
Oh hey, look! Debbie & Kevin! It was so fun to see them & catch up a little bit!
Huge shout-out and thank you to the amazing team of vendors, as well as friends & family, who helped make Rob & Lisa’s wedding day absolutely perfect!
