I know February is the shortest month of the year – but why does it feel so LONG?
Fun fact: February is the month I first started doing these monthly “daily life” videos in! This marks my 3rd February “anniversary” of making these films of us just doing daily life & words cannot express how thankful and full my heart is to have all of these memories bottled up and stored together. I love our “adventuring” films (when we travel), but these films of us just doing normal, every-day things are pure magic.
February was pretty chill.
We did celebrate Valentine’s Day pretty hard-core (what else is there to do in February)?
AND we officially wrapped up our dining room remodel this month! Of course, there are still a few “little” things that need done to officially finish the room off (but aren’t there “little” things to do in every room of a house?) We LOVE the end result and are still struggling (a little bit) to grasp the fact that it’s FINALLY done and just how beautiful it looks!!
Moments of note this month:
(0:24) We celebrated my niece’s birthday at a jump park – the kids had a BLAST and keep asking when we can go back!

(3:28) Moving my office from the laundry room into it’s brand new “nook”! (Spoiler alert, I LOVE it!!)

(6:03) Random warm days in February just mean we have severe cabin fever when the cold returns the next day!

(8:47) Braelynn and Leander came up with a “cheer” for our family! It’s ADORABLE and my favorite thing ever!
Just in case you’ve missed what I’m doing – I decided that I wanted to create a curated “home video” for our family every month (remember those old “home movies” our families used to create? with the giant video recorders that an entire VHS tape fit in?) Those videos were fantastic, but if you’ve ever sat down to watch one (does anyone even own a VHS player anymore?) you very quickly realize that you do a lot of “fast-forwarding”.
So, my goal, is to take all the little videos I take of our family over the course of a month & create a short (my goal is to be around 10 minutes) video of my favorite snippets. I am SO excited to finally have a dedicated place to chronicle my family videos & keep them safe & accessible.
