For every vacation we’ve gone on, I’ve written a blog post about our trip (see a few of those posts here, here, & here). I am a photographer, so obviously I take hundreds of photos while we are away & coming home to edit & share those photos is just a part of my DNA.
However, late last summer, when I started being more intentional with the videos I took, I began to create Vlogs from our trips to amusement parks as a way to compliment my photos. Unfortunately, when we went on our “big” trip last year, I hadn’t yet started to dabble in vlogging, so I have very little video from last year’s “big” vacation.
What I’m trying to say is: up to this point, while I’ve created videos for singular days that we’ve spent at amusement parks, and even some long-weekend videos, I have yet to create anything in the scope of a whole week-long adventure.
In other words: I was slightly nervous that I wouldn’t be able to curate a highlight vlog from an entire week down to a manageable timeframe (my goal was 10 minutes).
Well – I did it! It’s a little over 10 minutes, but I just couldn’t cut anything else out. And honestly, I’m head-over-heels smitten with the final product.
I’ve said this before & I’ll say it again: especially when it comes to my growing children, photos are precious, but videos are magical.
If you read my blog post on Tuesday with all of my favorite PHOTOS from our vacation to Florida, you already have a good “outline” for what our trip looked like. Watching this video will just fill in some of the blanks with movement, laughter, & sounds.
Enjoy a little peek into what our trip to Florida looked, felt, & sounded like!
