I love a good Disney movie. Okay, let’s be honest: I love Disney anything & everything. But Disney movies – they seem to have a way of cutting right to the heart. And when you think about emotional Disney movies – movies with emotional, gripping, incredibly-told-story scenes – what movie instantly comes to mind? I’ll give you a moment. Did you come up with one? The one that prominently comes to mind for me is UP. That opening few minutes that tell the story of Carl & Ellie – wow. Tear-jerker, right? I can’t even think about that montage without getting goosebumps! Who doesn’t want a love like theirs?
UP is one of my top favorite Disney movies & so when Ellen told me we would be shooting an UP themed wedding – I was SO excited!! Complete with balloons, a Paradise Falls jar, maps, pinwheels, and a Grape Soda pin – it was an incredible beautiful day! Morgan & Brandon could not have planned a more thoughtful, detail-oriented wedding, and with the sun shining – they had the perfect wedding day!
Since I played the role of second-shooter for the day – I got to hang out with the guys while they got ready! Since I normally hang with the ladies, being able to capture the guys every once in a while is super fun! And these guys did not disappoint in the “fun” department – but see for yourself!
Their day took place from start to finish at The Hayloft in Rockwood, PA. Talk about a gorgeous wedding venue! I would LOVE to go back and shoot another wedding there!
Brotherly love – you can feel it, right?
Love those last few moments before a bride walks down the aisle to her groom!
So, from what I gather, I guess weddings typically take place around the pond at the Hayloft, but Morgan & Brandon chose to get married in the corral. It was a beautiful, unique ceremony site! I love that the guests had a 360˚ of the ceremony!
One of my all-time favorite images!! As Morgan & Brandon recessed out of the ceremony, the flower-girl & ring-bearer ran to catch up to them! Being the amazing, gracious people that they are, they slowed their pace to match their little bridal party member’s to walk with them!
Family formals were fun to say the least!
Morgan made a STUNNING bride!
Selfie!
I love this! Part of my job as a second-shooter is to catch the little in-between moments!
Carrying his new wife’s shoes – what a guy!
Remember how I said it was an UP themed wedding? The reception details were over-the-top perfect!
This moment still gives me chills – Morgan & her Dad did a traditional father/daughter dance and then opened the floor up to all fathers & daughters. This guy, gently swaying with his tiny baby girl, not able to take his eyes off of her the whole time – simply perfect.
These people knew how to dance! You could not get them away from the dance floor if you tried!
I love a good traditional Dollar Dance – when the guests surround the bride as she dances with her family & lastly her Mom and then the groom has to break through the guests to “rescue” his bride. The groomsmen took their job of “protecting” Morgan very very seriously and Brandon truly had to fight to break through!
