Spring Waterfall Engagement Photography at The Waverly Glen.
Engagement sessions are typically pretty easy to pull together. I work with my KAP Couples to brainstorm a location, we pick a date, I share input on outfits, and then we get together & simply have fun!
That sounds pretty simple, right? Well, it was a little trickier with Mike & Miranda. Mike works in the oil industry, so his schedule is a little all over the place. He works long & hard hours. Miranda is a labor & delivery nurse, so her schedule is also all over the place. She equally works long & hard hours!
But it’s one of the things you can definitely tell about these two right away: they work well together. They are flexible & are equally able to step up to help the other. They’ve been together for 5 years, and their relationship just feels solid. Just like Mike’s strong arms as he would hold onto Miranda – they’ve reached the “comfortable” stage with each other. And some may see that as a bad thing, but it’s really such a sweet place to be! They love each other, without all the extra fluff that newbie relationships come with. They’ve built a relationship that is going to last & it’s simply beautiful to witness!
Mike may have washed his ties in trying to get ready for engagement photos and learned the hard way that ties are dry-clean-only for a reason. And Miranda may have bought a new cranberry colored convertible dress that she wasn’t 100% sure how to tie on. But together, they are unstoppable. Miranda went out to pick up a few new ties for Mike, and Mike simply looked at Miranda with all the heart eyes as she came out wearing that long cranberry dress.
Their wedding is in just a few weeks & I absolutely cannot wait to hang out with this dynamic duo again!
So, this image took me completely out of my comfort zone! Miranda showed me a similar photo & said that it was her only request. So, I definitely was anxious to give it a shot – and with the help of some thread & a tree branch, I love how it turned out!
Omigosh – are they not the most adorable things ever?!
This is not the first time I’ve taken engagement photos at the Waverly Glen, but after all the rain we’d had in the days previous, the waterfall was just bursting & it was AMAZING!
Beautiful Pictures, I’m a local photographer and use the Waverly Glen all the time.
