In honor of Legoland New York opening for the 2026 season TOMORROW, here’s a peek at our time at the park last fall (and don’t tell our kids, but we are springing on them on the biggest surprise EVER tomorrow – stay tuned!)
This is our family’s experience spending two days at Legoland in New York. We had so much fun! We were so surprised by how much there was to do (and how BIG Legoland is!)
Our kids were introduced to the exciting world of Ninjago about 2 years ago and ever since we have been riding the slippery slope of Lego-obsession. Our kids have built (and maintain) these massive Lego creations – including a full-blown city that lives in Braelynn’s bedroom. They play and build with Legos on a daily basis (as our living room floor can attest). Their imaginations simply light on fire when you pour a box of Legos out onto the floor – toss in a few mini figures and it’s a recipe for HOURS of fun.
Last fall when we were in Phoenix, Arizona, we visited a Legoland Discovery Center and we fell even further in love. Ever since, our kids have been BEGGING to visit a REAL Legoland – so we finally pulled the (very expensive) plug and made it happen in the beginning of September 2025.
We had such an amazing time – obviously the Ninjago area was a huge highlight, but we found the entire park to be so much fun! There was so much to see and do, so many places to build Legos, so many fun rides, plus the mini-figure trading and looking for Mr. Gold – we maxed out our time at the park! (The only downside is the park had pretty short operating hours during our visit – closing down by 5pm both days.)
We stayed ON PROPERTY! If you missed that blog post, go back and see our time at the Legoland Resort HERE!
And because – what’s a blog post without photos – here are just a few (these are a mix of iPhone snaps & photos taken with my “big” camera).
