Have you ever met someone & after chatting with them for just a few moments – you realize just how insane it is that you’ve never met before? You start tracing some dots & realize that, not only are you mutual friends with the person who’s New Year’s Eve party you’re currently attending, but you have tons of mutual friends. You begin listing off names: “Do you know so-and-so?” and the person (who you just met), their eyes light up as they excitedly respond, “Omigosh – YES!”
Not only do you realize that you have so many inter-connecting friend-circles, but as time goes on, you realize that even your kids even know each other. And, they’re so close in age, that some of them are even in the same class in school & are close friends.
How, in this crazy world, have you never met this person before?!
Well, that’s the beginning of Lauren & Tim’s story.
With so many interlocking circles of friend-groups, it seemed insane that their paths had never crossed before & that they were just meeting for the first time on New Year’s Eve.
And yes – their kids even knew each other before Lauren & Tim had ever met.
Maybe they had met at some point in the past – just a passing “hi” without even consciously realizing what had just transpired – but that all changed on New Year’s Eve about 2 years ago when Lauren & Tim were officially introduced to one another.
And guess what? There hasn’t been a single day since that fateful party that they haven’t talked or been together. I guess some would call that “destiny” or “perfect timing”, but let’s go with: “love at first sight”.
Lauren & Tim are friends of Tabitha & Jude’s, so after they got engaged (which is a really good story – but you’ll have to wait for that part) & began researching wedding vendors, they reached out to me, after remembering me from photographing Tabitha & Jude’s frigid November wedding in 2019! And I’m so glad they did! They are the absolute sweetest & we had a blast adventuring all over Ohiopyle a few weeks ago (when there was still about a foot of snow on the ground!)
These sweet lovebirds are getting married this spring & I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with all of those interlocking friend circles!! It’s going to be a fantastic party – I just know it!
Okay – do you see this TINY bridge we discovered? It looked much different from down below! We basically crawled up the snowy/icy hill to get up here & we were met with this tiny bridge (that we were slightly worried about even walking out on!) Lauren & Tim are SUCH adventurers though! I was literally sliding back down the hill as I was taking these photos – whew – what an adventure! Totally worth it though!
We waited until the very very end for Lauren to change into her dress (it wasn’t “freezing” out the day we were at Ohiopyle – meaning temps were in the 40’s & not in the 20’s), but it was still cold! Lauren’s navy dress is my favorite though & we totally slayed that last 15 minutes of our time together!
[…] & Tim had been dating for about two years & it was time to take the next step. Between their interlocking friend circles & the 6 kids […]
