5 years ago, fresh out of high school, two nervous teenagers found themselves on the campus of Grove City College. Shy, but excited to begin their college journey, they set out to enjoy life as a college student. Their first semester found them in a sea of new friends, dorm life, and General Education classes. In one of those classes, a bubbly Laura sat toward the front of the class, and a quiet Jake sat toward the back. They “met” each other in that class, but she had her group of friends and he had his.

Their fall semester came to an end and spring rolled around. Another round of General Education classes – yay! Again, they found themselves in the same class. Mid-way through the semester, their group of friends meshed. The guys and the girls started walking to class together, having lunch together, helping each other through class projects. Laura & Jake found themselves in a close-knit circle of friends and suddenly couldn’t help but notice each other. She was bubbly and fun and always laughing – he was quieter and a little more reserved but learned he had a knack for making her laugh.

Their friends teased them and told them that they were cute together. They told them that they should go out. They laughed and shrugged it off, but couldn’t help thinking about it. It didn’t take too much teasing to realize there was some truth to it all – Jake was really drawn to Laura, and Laura found herself smitten with Jake. Toward the end of that spring semester, Jake knew he had to ask Laura out, officially, on a date. He was so nervous though! 2 weeks went by, and he was so anxious, he couldn’t eat anything but cereal! Finally, he swallowed his nerves and asked Laura out. You can only imagine the stars in her eyes as she said yes (and how Jake’s stomach thanked him!)

These two are the cutest! They have the most fun, colorful, lively wedding planned for this summer & I absolutely cannot wait (trust me, with swing dancing and a balloon artist and gourmet coffee, it’s going to be epic!) We met together last weekend at Ohiopyle (one of their favorite hiking spots & where they got engaged!) for their engagement photos. We had so much fun! I love it when a couple is just so perfect for each other, comfortable with each other, best friends, and so in love – see for yourself!

This spot is super special to them – this is where Jake popped the question! You’ll have to wait to hear that story – it’s so much fun!
