There was pizza on the counter when Kayla got home from grocery shopping. I’m sure she thought what every hungry girl would think: YES! Because, we all know that after grocery shopping, no one wants to cook a full meal! As Kayla moved around the kitchen, putting away the groceries, she couldn’t help but get pumped for the pizza that Charlie had ordered for dinner – how thoughtful he was – to grab dinner while she was out running errands! What a great guy.
Groceries put away, she moved over to the pizza box to see what he had ordered, but to her surprise, the box didn’t contain one ounce of sauce, cheese, or pepperoni, but instead held a little ring box, sitting on top of a painting of doves that said “together forever”. Shocked beyond words [and her mouth still watering for pizza] Kayla turned around to face Charlie who had been anxiously waiting for her to finally open the pizza box. They stared at each other for a moment, and Charlie, laughing, asked “Well?”. “Well, what?!” she begged. And somewhere amidst happy tears – Charlie popped the important question – that he thought was obvious with the ring and dove painting.
Kayla & Charlie officially tied the knot over Labor Day weekend. After their intimate ceremony at the Vestal United Methodist Church, they partied the night away with their friends and family at The McKinley in Endicott, NY. It was spectacular and I am so thankful to have been able to celebrate their incredible day with them!
I love when a bride gets ready at home!
You might recognize Kayla & Charlie’s house & backyard – we took some of their engagement photos there!
I love this shot of the guys that my sister got while I was hanging with the girls!
