Harry & Liz have one of the most goosebump-inducing stories I have ever heard. From how they met, to how they fell in love, to the crazy circumstances that surrounded Harry getting that elusive diamond ring & proposing – it’s really a story that should not be missed! After I photographed their fabulous winter wedding this past January, I wrote out the entire story (it was just too good not to tell!) – so, do yourself a favor & sit down to read (or re-read) it here!
Since their wedding was planned in just 12 short weeks (due to Harry’s new job offer & their impending move to Ohio), we simply did not have time to squeeze in engagement photos before their wedding day! Harry & Liz’s lives were absolute craziness for those 12 weeks leading up to their wedding & with it also being the dead of winter, they asked if their engagement session could transfer over to after the wedding (preferably when the weather was a bit warmer). I said that that absolutely made sense & I was so excited to get back together with them a few weeks ago for some “post-wedding-engagement-photos” at Frick Park in Pittsburgh, PA.
I have to admit, meeting up with a couple a few months after their wedding day was so much fun! They caught me up on all of the things that have happened since their wedding day (and vice versa! I was a bit “fatter” for this shoot than I was at their wedding – HA).
Frick Park holds a lot of special memories for Liz & Harry as they used to walk & hike the park grounds on a regular basis when they lived in Pittsburgh. As we walked around, you could just hear how much they missed this park in their voices, as they talked about how their neighborhood in Ohio didn’t have anything like it.
And, Frick Park is friendly to dogs! So, that meant they were able to bring their two pups along for the beginning of our time together!! I seriously love when a couple includes their fur-babies in milestone photos – it just makes things so much more fun!
And of course, they had to each get a model shot of their own!
