Bell's Banquets Mt. Pleasant, PA Wedding Featured on Big Day Made

I am so excited to announce that Louis & Nikai’s wedding has been featured on Big Day Made today!

Rain is never a fun prediction to see when you check the weather the week before your wedding day – but it’s an even harder pill to swallow when you have an outdoor ceremony planned – an outdoor ceremony, up a dirt road, on top of a mountain no less! And so, Nikai & Louis were faced with a terrible, heart-breaking decision in the days leading up to their wedding: gamble with the rain & plan to still have their ceremony outdoors, as planned? Or play it safe & go to “Plan B” which was to move their ceremony indoors at their reception location. No bride & groom should ever have to agonize over that decision, but Nikai & Louis did. And they decided that Plan B was simply the wisest choice.

I can tell you from experience, when you plan your wedding day, you get certain “mental pictures” of what the day will look like. As you pick out the colors, centerpieces, make signage, and choose your shoes, you form these ideas of what the day will look like. And for some brides & grooms – the abrupt change of those “mental pictures” is enough to send the whole day into a tailspin. They’ve been envisioning their wedding day a certain way for months and years, and suddenly it all changes. It’s enough to turn a sweet bride into “bridezilla” territory (and understandably so).

But, that was not the case with Nikai & Louis. Once the decision was made the move their ceremony – that was it! There was no looking back, no being upset, and absolutely no hard feelings to dim the joy & excitement of it being their wedding day. Of course, the kicker was waking up on the morning of their wedding & realizing that the weather predictions had been completely wrong. It turned out to be a dry, sunny, humid day with only a few moments of light rain during family formals. It was a recipe for bitterness – but did Nikai & Louis get bitter? Not in the least. They were getting married & that was all that mattered.

Their day remains as one of the most joyful & happy wedding days I have ever been a part of!
