So, I really enjoyed having a “bucket list” for summer. It really helped me stay on track with a few things & be accountable for a few others (I probably never would have actually pulled the plug & gotten 1200+ images printed if I hadn’t said I was going to!) It was really nice to put some ideas & goals out there & be able to check them off as I accomplished them! What’s the psychological thing about writing things down and crossing them off – how it fuels productivity & a sense of happiness? It’s totally true! If you’re curious how many of my 20 items I accomplished this summer, I revisited the list here – go check it out!
With that in mind, I decided to continue on & write out a fall “bucket list”! So, in absolutely no particular order, here are the top 20 things I would like to accomplish this fall!
- Go somewhere to rake leaves so Braelynn can jump in the pile
- Have our tree cut down
- Read 5 new books
- Finish scrapbooking Braelynn’s 1st year photos
- Have the best 27th birthday ever
- Take Braelynn to the Children’s Museum (to see the Daniel Tiger exhibit)
- Write Derrick & I’s love story
- Attend & photograph Irwin’s Light Up Night
- Submit fall photos to 50th Annual Autumn Glory Festival Contest
- Finish decorating the upstairs (hanging mirrors & pictures in the bedrooms)
- Kick off off-season with a week OFF
- Learn to make & practice baking macaroons (for Ellen’s bridal shower)
- Bake an apple pie
- Trim the bushes in the front of the house
- Attend a wedding as a guest (Derrick’s friend Jake is getting married next month!)
- Have Ellen take our annual family photos
- Take evening walks with Derrick & Braelynn
- Get all my Christmas shopping done before December 1
- Plan Ellen’s bridal shower (December 4th)
- Learn to play Daniel Tiger’s theme music on piano
