As a guy entering his senior year of high school, I’m sure Chris had a lot of plans. However, I doubt that getting injured while playing basketball was one of them. I can only imagine: getting hurt and not being able to finish out your last season of high school basketball – it must have been devastating!
That injury sent Chris to a few weeks of therapy in order to recover. You’ll simply never guess who was working at the therapist’s office.
Erica has wanted to be an occupational therapist for a long time and landing a job as an aide for a local office was exactly where she wanted to be! First hand experience, a little training, paired with her schooling – she knew she was on the track for success. Little did she know that not only had she found her dream job, but she’d also meet her life partner there as well.
Throughout Chris’s time in therapy, he got to know Erica. Their friendship went from being centered at the therapist’s office to texts and long talks and dates. Before they knew it, they found themselves in love and talking about forever. So, looking back, even though a basketball injury wasn’t what Chris was hoping for – it did put him in the right place at the right time to meet Erica & the rest is history.
We got together to celebrate their engagement on one of the last days of fall. Twin Lakes Park in Greensburg, PA is gorgeous any time of year, but the fall colors there are just stunning. I cannot wait for their wedding next summer!
Absolutely gorgeous photos! I love the story of how they met and fell in love. Fate definitely played a part in their meeting. The location is beautiful and I can see the love they have for each other in each photograph. Best Wishes!
