I’m really not even sure how this happened, I mean, I should have been prepared, I had ample warning. You’d have thought it would have began sinking in when I did Emma’s senior pictures last fall & this spring, but nope. I must simply have a super thick head. We’ll go with that.
Somehow (and not for lack of smarts – not at all! more for lack of age) my little sister number 3 has officially graduated from high school. I literally had to count it out because, she really can’t be my third sister – I mean, that would make me old enough to have 3 sisters who have graduated from high school? That can’t be right. Anyways! We celebrated last Thursday night with a little “sweet” victory party – all centered around Emma and the things that tie us together as a people: desserts! We literally had more than 20 different kinds of dessert – it was insane amazing. It was probably just insane for those of us who ate all week in baking, all day in setting up, and all night in celebration – AKA: me.
It was such a fabulous party celebrating our favorite curly-cued, dimpled, laughing Emma though. It was so much fun to see the different people who came and wanted to hug her & talk to her, love on her & bring her gifts. Sometimes, Emma can put on this tough exterior, but deep down she’s just as soft as a caramel & if you’ve taken any time at all to get to know her, you know it’s true.
Congratulations Emma! Go become a world famous artist or something & continue being amazing!
(Mom & Dad! Four down & only two to go! How did that happen?!)
It’s officially now a tradition: we have a photobooth at our graduation parties.
Umm, Braelynn – you blinked!
There’s the party girl!
Remember that photobooth? We had a little bit of fun with it – just a little.
