Diana & Kevin’s multi-cultural, rustic, eclectic wedding last Saturday at the Shoresbrook Inn in Towanda, PA will definitely go down as one of my very favorites of the year!! All of the meticulous details, the pure joy, the deep friendships, the glorious weather – it literally could not have been more perfect!
If I had to sum up Diana & Kevin’s day in a word, it would be “untraditional”. They wanted their day to be all about them & their deep rooted beliefs in breaking down barriers. That led to a grand First Look, mismatched bridesmaid’s dresses and groomsmen’s suits, a bi-lingual ceremony with beautiful readings in both Spanish and English, and a laid back reception. Everything about their wedding was so impeccably “them” and it was flawless. In an age of Pinterest weddings where so many details look the same – they truly put so much thought into every aspect of their day & personalized every moment! It was lovely.
And can we just talk about their family & friends? Their bridal party & their guests traveled from all over the world to tiny little Towanda, PA to celebrate Diana & Kevin. The common thread between them all was that they would simply not miss being there. The love and admiration and devotion felt for this couple was palpable and overflowing. Everyone selflessly loved on Diana & Kevin all day long and it was captivating. I literally wanted to sit down at every table during dinner and just hear their stories- and I can honestly say I have never had that desire before!
Diana & Kevin – thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for bringing me into your close-knit community to celebrate your wedding day with you! I still can’t stop smiling from how perfect your day was! All the best wishes as you continue adventuring together, now as husband & wife!
I LOVE the Shoresbrook Inn! I was there twice last summer (here & here) and I couldn’t wait to go back this summer! Diana & Kevin had their ceremony right on the property & it was so beautiful!
The rooms upstairs of the Inn are fabulous for getting ready! Bright walls, clean lines, lots of natural light – my favorite!
Diana’s Grandmother put together all of the bouquets and boutonnieres herself – and she did a heart-stopping job! I love all the bright bold colors!
I LOVE this moment between Diana & her Mama! Once Diana had put on her dress, her jewelry, and her shoes, suddenly she was a bride & the happy tears were suddenly overflowing!
Like I mentioned, Diana & Kevin opted to do a First Look and we rode over to the Merrill Parkway for that! It was so beautiful!
SO HAPPY!
These girls were amazing and I love their mismatched eclectic dresses!
Kevin’s side of the bridal party cleaned up pretty nicely themselves!
Aren’t they just lovely?
UGH – Diana! You are so fierce! Just gorgeous!
Kevin – you were looking pretty dapper yourself!
He literally couldn’t stop looking at her – love it!
Then it was on to their ceremony!
This moment – THIS is my favorite from the whole entire day. Diana’s Mama giving her away – the emotion, the soft touch, Kevin beaming from the background, Diana’s brother (who officiated) smiling on – simply beautiful. As her Mama then hugged Kevin and gave Diana’s hand to him, she said: “Here is your princess” and just, wow.
Diana’s brother officiated their ceremony & he added the perfect amount of personalization, humor, and life.
The reception set up inside of the Inn was stunning. Diana’s Mama designed and executed every detail. She agonized over every placement, every candle, every flower, all of the lace & burlap – and the results were breath-taking!
Notice any images from their cold & rainy engagement session?
Diana & Kevin continued their untraditional theme right into their first dance! Instead of a usual slow dance, they lined up and surprised everyone with the Napoleon Dynamite dance! It was hysterical and perfect and you can just see all of their guests loving every moment!
We snuck out right at the end of the night for literally the last 30 seconds of sunset – it was the perfect ending to the perfect day!
Kara. You did a great job! I love the pictures. Thank you for making this moment memorable.
