We aren’t really big into the Halloween Event stuff – but having the opportunity to visit amusement parks and still ride roller coasters into the fall season is A-OKAY by us!
Last weekend, we (along with seemingly every other soul within a 100-mile radius) visited Hersheypark during their Dark Nights Halloween event! It was a stunning 72º, sunny day, so we knew the park would be slammed (and boy was it ever!) We had a strategy though and we were (surprisingly) able to hit all of the major attractions on our “must ride” list before the lines got too long (except for Mix’d – that was simply a mistake).
After our experience last year, where it rained the entire time we were in the park – the warm, sunny day was a fantastic trade – and we all agreed that we’ll take managing the crowds over the rain every day.
Since we don’t like scary stuff, we left the park around 6pm (when the haunts and mazes open), but unlike a lot of parks, Hersheypark is actually very family friendly, even through the evening hours. The mazes and haunts are all tucked away out of the main drag and there are even pathways you can take to avoid the scare zones (which is GREAT!)
If you’d like to go back and see our past experience at Hersheypark’s Dark Nights, here’s last year’s vlog.
Of course, what is a post without photos? Here are a few of the highlights of our visit from both my iPhone 14 Pro and “big” camera (I have a Canon R6).
