Last weekend was the grand opening of Hersheypark’s Dark Nights – their Halloween event. Believe it or not, this is only the second year that Hershey has hosted a Halloween event!
We have never really been the “scare-fest” type of people, but with more and more parks being open during the day with family-friendly Halloween events (before all the scary stuff starts at dusk) – we’re just thrilled to have our roller coaster riding season extended into October!!
We loved checking out all that Hersheypark had to offer during the day – from their trick or treating (let’s be honest: there is no better place to trick or treat than at a chocolate factory!) to their decorations, to their themed food options – even though it rained pretty much the entire time we were there – we still had a great day!
And since we aren’t “scare” people (and we have small children) we left just as it was getting dark and all the “official” scare stuff was starting. We REALLY appreciated that Hershey’s scare zones were clearly marked and we could make our way out of the park without walking through those scare zones and being surprised by anything jumping out at us!
We are so grateful to Hershey for inviting us to attend their media event for Dark Nights! Even though it rained, we still had a great, super fun, memorable day!
Of course, what is a post without photos? Here are a few photos from our day from my iPhone (I took my Canon R6, but I never pulled it out because of all the rain!)
