They were visiting Niagara Falls. Corey knew he wanted to propose while they were there – he had the ring, was ready to go, just wanted to find the right place & moment to make it special for Christie. He kept his eyes open all day long as they toured around, but nothing seemed to be right.
After running from the rain through the afternoon and grabbing dinner, he noticed that the rain seemed to have cleared up & he coaxed Christie back out to see the Falls one last time. It was late in the evening and the lights had been turned on the Falls, and he knew – this was the moment. So, even as it started to rain again, he knew there was no turning back. He dropped to one knee, right into a giant puddle of water, and as he opened his mouth to ask the most important question a man can ever ask a woman, all of the lights were turned off. Suddenly they were plunged into pitch darkness.
Only one thing was left to do – ask. And he did. Christie couldn’t even see the ring he was holding, but she was so in love with this man who was kneeling in a giant puddle of water that it wasn’t even a question. They were soaking wet and standing in the dark, but only one thing mattered: they were officially engaged and this was the start of their lives together.
Christie & Corey are getting married next June and their wedding is going to be epic! I cannot wait to be a part of their special day. In the mean time, we braved the crisp November air and took some fun engagement photos around Christie’s parent’s property.
What an adorable engagement story! Great pictures 🙂
What a cute couple, love it.
