Happy start of a brand new year! Year 5 in-a-row that I’ve been creating these monthly family films of us doing “daily life”! (Wow, that doesn’t seem possible!) January arrived and it became the month of SNOW – we had more snow on the ground for more days than we ever remember in January! (Which...
December always seems to fly by at the speed of light. And when you spend the first full week of the month in Arizona – then the month REALLY flies by! I feel like: December is a game. There are only so many weekends in the month of December leading up to Christmas and somehow, you...
Ahhhh Western Pennsylvania – one of the few places that my kids could be running around outside barefoot and in shorts – wading through a creek one day – and just a few days later, be building snowmen in our backyard. Moments of note this month:(0:07) Leander lost his second top tooth at dinner! Now...

Hi! I'm Kara!
Welcome to my blog!
I'm a Pittsburgh-based wedding photographer and wedding content creator with a love for storytelling, both on wedding days and beyond.
I've been part of the wedding industry since 2009, documenting 250+ wedding days and helping couples preserve the moments, big and small, that make their day uniquely theirs.
When I'm not working a wedding, you'll probably find me creating videos for my personal YouTube channel, The Adventuring Abbeys, where my family and I share our love of amusement parks, roller coasters, and travel.
Around here, you'll find wedding inspiration and behind-the-scenes content, family adventures, amusement park visits, travel stories, and a little bit of everyday life.
I'm so glad you're here!
