We aren’t really big into the Halloween Event stuff – but having the opportunity to visit amusement parks and still ride roller coasters into the fall season is A-OKAY by us! Last weekend, we (along with seemingly every other soul within a 100-mile radius) visited Hersheypark during their Dark Nights Halloween event! It was a...
Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, PA (just outside of Pittsburgh) is our “home” amusement park, so we are there A LOT.When the regular season ends and the “off season” officially kicks into gear, we literally don’t know what to do with ourselves on random Tuesday nights (because, if it was summer, we’d probably find ourselves...
When we visited Busch Gardens Williamsburg back in the spring, we missed the Member Preview of DarKoaster by FIVE days (talk about a huge bummer!) 2023 was the most INCREDIBLE year for our family. We visited a total of 19 different amusement parks and 5 water parks across 9 different states. We took our children on an airplane for the first time ever (spoiler alert: they LOVED it!) and we can now check the state of “Arizona” off our list of...
Hi! I'm Kara!
Welcome to my blog!
I'm a Pittsburgh-based wedding photographer and wedding content creator with a love for storytelling, both on wedding days and beyond.
I've been part of the wedding industry since 2009, documenting 250+ wedding days and helping couples preserve the moments, big and small, that make their day uniquely theirs.
When I'm not working a wedding, you'll probably find me creating videos for my personal YouTube channel, The Adventuring Abbeys, where my family and I share our love of amusement parks, roller coasters, and travel.
Around here, you'll find wedding inspiration and behind-the-scenes content, family adventures, amusement park visits, travel stories, and a little bit of everyday life.
I'm so glad you're here!
