Busch Gardens Tampa Bay was the last stop on our grand spring vacation of 2023 (yes, over a year ago at this point – my blog is a bit behind). And unfortunately, that’s where the rain and storms caught up with us.
We kicked off our day on Busch Gardens property with a visit to Adventure Island (their waterpark) and after a few hours of swimming, we skipped across the road to Busch Gardens Tampa.
We dodged raindrops for most of the afternoon – rides came up and went down sporadically – until FINALLY the storms passed and the park fully opened back up.
The rain delay was completely worth it because both Derrick and I were able to get back-to-back-to-back rides on Iron Gwazi and we were able to get on Montu and score zen-rides (meaning we were the only people on the coaster).
We then RAN out of the park so that we could watch the park’s fireworks display from our HOTEL ROOM WINDOW (talk about the most epic location).
Our second day was busier than the first (and much hotter), but we still were able to get the rides and experiences in that we wanted.
Of course, what is a post without photos? Here are a few of the highlights of our visit from both my iPhone 14 Pro and “big” camera (I have a Canon R6).
