Braelynn Turns 10! | A Winter Birthday Party

DOUBLE DIGITS! How did we get here so fast?

Last weekend we celebrated Braelynn’s TENTH birthday!
She had a really hard time choosing a theme – originally, she wanted a “plant” theme, but at the last minute (as I was literally adding a ton of “plant” decor stuff to my Amazon cart), she changed her mind and decided on a winter/snow theme. And, the weather – right on que – delivered a beautifully snowy day.

With Aunt Ruby just finishing up her chemo treatments, she wasn’t able to come over to help us make the cake – so we had to fare on our own. Thankfully, “10” is a very “grown up” number and that empowered Braelynn to decorate her own cake! (Which is GREAT, because I hate cake decorating and am not very good at it.) We had looked up some inspiration on Pinterest, saw the ideas to make snowmen out of marshmallows and Braelynn went to town. I love her creativity and how much she LOVED decorating her own cake! (Next year though – you better believe we’re returning to Aunt Ruby’s expertise!)
