So, then there was that one day when a little man I was photographing decided to throw a rock at my camera.
Talk about heart-attack.
Of course, I couldn’t show my panic. I mean, deep down, for a split second, I wanted to have a hissy fit at said little man and shake him – telling him that it was my livelihood he was tossing a stone at. But then I remembered I had a filter on my lens [for such a time as this] + insurance on my gear. Besides, he didn’t hit my camera – just me. The stone hit my arm. And let’s be honest, he is just a little man, it’s not like I had Vin Diesel throwing a rock my direction [yep, I just got back from watching Furious Seven, can you tell?]
So, I smiled and as his Mother scolded him – said everything was okay – no harm done. Because, truly, none was done.
Can’t you just see his little mischievous nature in these next two images though?
But boys will be boys – and even if Sidney decides to chuck rocks my way again, I’ll still photograph his family!! Mostly because I love them & love their good natured-laid back-easy going family atmosphere. They are just so fun to be around! Mitch & Larissa have 100% embraced parenting and by not only letting Sidney explore & learn but teaching him everything there is to know about the world and life in it.
It’s so fun to have friends – and then see those friends get married and be husband & wife – and then see those friends get pregnant and prepare for their little baby – and then see those friends become parents! Thank God for good friends, who even though you might not see them as often as you’d like, will always be there for you & when you do get together, it’s like no time has passed at all.
